Women’s History Month may be ending, but Yellow Arrow still has a lot to celebrate in April. Not only is it National Poetry Month, but our fifth birthday! In honor of both occasions, we’re hosting a fundraising Poetry Series: five Fridays for our Five years.

Chris Biles currently lives and works in Washington D.C. She enjoys playing with the light and the dark, and losing herself in music, anything outside, and some words here and there. Stephanie Garon is a Baltimore based environmental artist. Her writing has been published in numerous national and international literary magazines. She is a Hamiltonian Fellow and recipient of The Puffin Foundation Environmental Grant. Her chapbook of environmental poetry will be published this fall by Akinoga Press.
Claire Taylor's writing has appeared in a variety of publications. She is a volunteer reader for Capsule Stories and Versification Publishing. Robinwyn Lewis: I am a retired lawyer, student of languages, and teacher of English to speakers of other languages. I am also a painter. For me words and brush strokes have in common that they convey both something seen and something meant, using the most economical of tools. And in both endeavors, although I fail at least as often as I succeed, the experience is always worth the effort.
Priscilla Frake is the author of Correspondence, a book of epistolary poems published by Mutabilis Press. She has work in Verse Daily, Nimrod, The Midwest Quarterly, Medical Literary Messenger, Carbon Culture Review, and The New Welsh Review, among others. She lives in Asheville, NC, where she is a studio jeweler.
Patti Ross graduated from Washington, DC's Duke Ellington School for the Performing Arts and The American University. After graduation, she had a brief career in the arts and several of her journalist pieces were published in the Washington Times and the Rural America newspapers. Patti has rediscovered her love of writing and is sharing her voice as the spoken word artist "little pi. She currently serves on the Board for the Maryland Writers Association, as well as several other non-profit organizations in the Baltimore region. Patti lives in Ellicott City, MD.
