Yellow Arrow Poetry Series

Women’s History Month may be ending, but Yellow Arrow still has a lot to celebrate in April. Not only is it National Poetry Month, but our fifth birthday! In honor of both occasions, we’re hosting a fundraising Poetry Series: five Fridays for our Five years.

Our first event will feature five awesome writers who will share their work on April 2, 2021 at 6pm EDT. Take a look at each bio to find out more:

  • Chris Biles currently lives and works in Washington D.C. She enjoys playing with the light and the dark, and losing herself in music, anything outside, and some words here and there.   • Stephanie Garon is a Baltimore based environmental artist. Her writing has been published in numerous national and international literary magazines. She is a Hamiltonian Fellow and recipient of The Puffin Foundation Environmental Grant. Her chapbook of environmental poetry will be published this fall by Akinoga Press.

  • Carolyn Martin is a lover of gardening and snorkeling, feral cats and backyard birds, writing and photography. Her poems have appeared in more than 130 journals throughout North America, Australia, and the UK. She is the poetry editor of Kosmos Quarterly: journal for global transformation.   • Claire Taylor's writing has appeared in a variety of publications. She is a volunteer reader for Capsule Stories and Versification Publishing. In addition to writing for adults, Claire is the creator of Little Thoughts, a monthly newsletter of original writing for children. You can find Claire online at clairemtaylor.com.

  • Paula Bonnell: Yellow Arrow hit my sweet spot when it accepted one of my poems that is among my own personal favorites. Other places my poems have appeared include Rattle, The American Poetry Review, and The Hudson Review as well as in four collections. My Twitter handle is @paulabonnell1.
