Yellow Arrow Publishing is delighted to debut our online creative nonfiction and poetry series: Yellow Arrow Vignette. Yellow Arrow Vignette calls for submissions related to Yellow Arrow Publishing’s 2022 yearly value of AWAKEN. At Yellow Arrow, we believe that emotions are meant to be stirred not suppressed, and we want our writers to depict aspects of their lives that they have a rekindled relationship with or have re-met from a fresh perspective. In a blog post earlier this year, our executive director, Annie Marhefka, said “. . . to awaken also means to open our eyes wider, to dig deeper into the background and grow our individual and collective awareness.” Through the guiding theme of AWAKEN, we invite you to reflect on how you have come to reexamine stagnant beliefs or uncovered beautiful truths that were hidden by dust and brain fog.
