Inside Out workshop

What is confessional writing anyway? The goal of this workshop is to help our most authentic selves come out and provide a space to say what might be hard to say in a positive, supportive environment. We will be writing, reading, and discussing what it means to tell our truths, how important it is to do so, and how to translate that truth to paper using various writing exercises. This is not just for poets, but for anyone that feels like they have something to say. Inside Out will explore what confessional writing is by way of writers like Sabrina Benaim, Ebony Stewart, Andrea Gibson, Olivia Gatwood, and others. The format of this workshop will be part lecture and part generative.
