As part of the Highlandtown Art Walk and launch of our latest literary journal, our reading for tonight was meant to be built around the theme of HOME. Sadly, our shared home, our country, is torn apart by racism, violence and injustice. The Yellow Arrow Publishing family wants to express our outrage at the killing of George Floyd by the police, and our solidarity with the racial justice protest movement sweeping the country. 

We are cancelling this reading out of respect for the grief and suffering in our midst, and in recognition of protests and community activities planned for tonight. The Yellow Arrow Publishing family is committed to promoting opportunities for all self identifying women to have their voices heard. Please look for our upcoming readings, journals, and seminars that show action in solidarity for Black Lives Matter. 

As many people must stay home to protect their health and safety, or the health of their vulnerable loved ones, we hope that those at home who hear our words on the theme of HOME through our online and printed journal, now available through our website, will feel a ray of hope, a sense of validation, or a touch of happiness, bringing renewed strength to face the challenges of this troubling time.
