Join the Shut Up & Write Baltimore chapter coordinator and the Fall 2019 Highlandtown Arts District Writer-In-Resident, Laura Hazan, for a 2 hour writing session sponsored by Yellow Arrow Publishing.
This special supersized Shut Up and Write is being conducted as part of Laura's residency. Please join writers from around Baltimore for some distraction free writing at Enoch Pratt Southeast Anchor Library, 3601 Eastern Ave., on Saturday, November 16 at 11:30 a.m.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. Stay for 1 hour or 2, entirely up to you. We'd love a big crowd for this event.
SCHEDULE:
11:30 a.m. - Quick introductions
11:40 a.m. - Timer starts for 2 hours
12:40 p.m. - optional 10 min break
1:30 p.m. - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing. The library closes at 5
This is a basic framework for the event. There is no requirement to follow this schedule exactly, come and go as your schedule allows, we're just thrilled to have you! Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. And growing the Highlandtown and Baltimore City writing community is too.
What Should I Bring?
